| 2010-07-04 | Jazz is in the air! |
| My heart is still beating like crazy after our performance at David Lam Park last night for the Jazz Festival here in our fair city. The sun came out, the crowd was amazing on every level and my guys and I had the time of our lives! My wardrobe malfunction didn’t even affect the show! I want to send out a HUGE “thank you” to each and every one of you who clapped, sang, danced laughed and shared a hug and a kind word at the show. It’s no small feat following one’s heart but to know that others are also enjoying the journey with you makes it all worthwhile. To Jillian our lovely MC, and all involved…. besos a todos!!! And, just to keep you on your toes and hopping, on Thursday, July 29th the boys and I shall be at the Cellar Jazz Club located on West Broadway at Dunbar in Vancouver. The show starts at about 8pm so do make a reservation as it’s going to be a very busy one. I look forward to seeing familiar smiles and meeting new ones. And again, thank you, for helping confirm that this Cuban Diva has made all the right choices in her life. Last night was THE best! xoxoxo | |
| 2010-04-29 | 2010 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival! |
| A little "Jazz Angel” just gifted me with the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festivalfor a second year! And David Lam Park no less! Yippeeee! What an amazing opportunity! Just when my players and I thought representing Canada at the 2010 Cultural Olympiad was fabulous enough, along comes this sweet gig. The stage is located in the heart of Yaletown and easily accessible wherever you may travel from. Usually the concerts here are divine with people disregarding inhibitions and dancing! Yes, “chaking and mooving” what their mama gave them! I’m getting excited just writing about this. I’m on the hunt for a sexy outfit! What does one wear for a hot summer night? We’ll chat soon. Besos! Muuuahhhh! | |
| 2010-04-12 | Rrrrrrocking el River Rock! |
| Ever have one of those days when everything is speeding by you at high velocity and you can’t keep up? Well, I’ve had about two months of this, which is not a great excuse but the reason for the tardiness of my posting. I’ve had a few emails from those wondering what I’m up to and when I shall be performing once again. Thank you so very much for your support and appreciation for what I do; you really do make me smile and feel so “special” in your care and attention. Your Cuban diva has been overwhelmed with things…between our Olympic performance, then my Jazzilla debut, and finally our Cellar Jazz Club show, things have not been boring to say the least. When I actually have a moment to myself, I can't help but think at how incredibly fortunate I was to have represented Canada. What a glorious moment for this Cuban immigrant and her wonderful band. My grandmother was surely dancing up in the heavens right along with me, cheering on her sassy granddaughter! Music has always been my life and nothing gets in the way of that. Which leads me to inform that my fabulouso banda of ridiculously talented hombres and I shall be at Lulu’s Lounge at River Rock Casino once again on April 14th and 15th. Show times are for approximately 8:30pm. Get your wonderful self down there to share a laugh, a hug and a dance with us. I’d love to see some familiar faces and meet new ones. Until then, and although I forget to do this myself, do take time out to “breathe” and enjoy the moments. Have a day completely and without a doubt, worthy of you! Besos. xoxo | |
| 2010-03-07 | St. Paddy’s Day at the Cellar Jazz Club! |
| It’s Sunday, March 7th and I’ve just arrived home from performing at Jazzilla. What a fabulous time it was! Kendra Sprinkling is an amazing woman and the Shooting Stars Foundation is lucky to have her. It's mind-blowing how hard this woman works and yet manages to remain so incredibly nice! At the show, not only did I get to see and hear the fabulous June Katz but I also got to connect with amazing women like Dawn Chubai, Melody Diachun, Robyn McCorquodale, and Alita Dupray to name a few. There were other amazing talents there but I got to spend some time chatting with these individuals and they are “stars” in their own right. It was a fantabulous afternoon and I feel very honored to have been given this opportunity to be a part of this elite circle. On a different (yet similar) note, don’t forget I shall be at the Cellar Jazz Club on Wednesday, March 17th for St. Paddy’s day with my crazy talented players. This is going to be a very fun night so I strongly suggest you make reservations ASAP so you don’t miss out on the fun! Just click on the link and take it from there. I look forward to seeing new and familiar faces and don’t forget to wear something “wild” and green, amigos! xoxo | |
| 2010-03-05 | Celebrate the Oscars with Jazzilla! |
| It’s that time of year when we look forward to the star-studded “red carpet” and all the gorgeous gowns! Diamonds, silks, pearls and everything luscious in between! This Sunday, March 7th, I have the great pleasure of performing alongside my dear and fabulous friend, jazz vocalist Ms. June Katz at Jazzilla. It’s going to be held at Performance Works at 2pm and is a great way to prepare for the Oscars later that evening. Get your best Broadway voice on and come join us for a fun-filled 2- hour show. The line-up is superb and I’m quite looking forward to meeting some of the names I’ve been hearing all these years. My dress is a “swishy” dusty rose number that I cannot wait to slip into and glide across the stage in. Exciting! | |
| 2010-03-03 | Our "B.C.Experience" Moment! |
| Hola friends! With the 2010 Winter Olympics now over, I've the time to actually process the exciting shows my band and I had the privilege of performing for. Here's a shot captured by a friend from our Feb. 15th B.C. Experience show at Robson Square. We all felt honored to represent this beautiful city and province as we filled the afternoon with Latin, Torch & Sexy Jazz! You can tell by the smiles on our faces we had a blast! And yes, my dress was a spectacular number even Lady Gaga would have been proud to wear! | |
| 2010-02-17 | Deborah Ledon Represents Canada for 2010! |
| Hola amigos! On Sunday, Feb. 21st, I represent Canada at the 2010 Cultural Olympiad with my own concert at Performance Works located on Granville Island. It’s slated for 4:30pm but I have a feeling this one’s going to be packed so try to get there early so you can get in! As well, my fabulous band and I shall be at River Rock Casino on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd so for those of you who have never been to the casino, come on down and relax at Lulu's with a nice drink, and join us for some great music! Music starts at 8:30pm. Hasta luego! xoxo | |

| 2010-02-05 | Deborah in Vancouver View magazine! |
| It’s true! I was interviewd, yes, my first official, by Ms. Noa Glouberman for the January/ February Special Collector’s Olympic Issue of “Vancouver View” magazine. You may read the article by clicking on the link. Thank you, Noa for being so incredibly sweet, genuine and just overall lovely to chat with. The planet needs more individuals like you on this realm. Besos! | |
| 2010-01-24 | THANK YOU FOR GIVING! |
| A quick note to let you know how fund raising efforts went while at River Rock Casino this past week. I’m happy to say everyone was wonderful and supportive and we collected $550! Thanks to Sam and Brian for helping me count monies post show on both nights; you guys are fabulous! Big thanks also to Nelson, who gave, and gave and refused to take the appropriate number of CDs owed to him. Nelson, you’re a prince! And please, to the rest of you who were not able to attend and would still like to donate to the Haiti relief efforts, please visit the Canadian Red Cross on-line and give there. Let’s say a prayer global efforts will bring much needed help to these poor people so they can heal from this horror and continue to live rich and productive lives. That is my wish. God bless. xo | |
| 2010-01-21 | Help Me, Help Haiti! |
| Dear friends, a quick note to remind that I’m back at River Rock Casino tonight, January 21st. I’m also asking you to please come down and support my efforts to collect for the victims of the recent horror in Haiti. My heart is heavy for all those babies and mothers down there and I am moved to action as a result. I’ve connected with Sharan Dhillon at the Burnaby office for the Canadian Red Cross and will be taking donations on their behalf. For my part, I am going to give everyone who donates to this worthwhile cause, a copy of my album, “Spilling Inside Out”. Even if you can’t stay the evening, please come down and help. The world is really not that large and we are all truly connected. Look into your heart and give; any amount will do and hey, you get a free gift! Of course donations may be made to the Red Cross on-line as well if you should prefer that. Let’s start our 2010 together by having a “heart to heart” connection. To those of you who donated last night, my heartfelt appreciation, and to the rest of you, I hope to see you tonight! Many blessings. xoxo | |
| 2010-01-03 | Ho! Ho! Hola 2010! |
| Felicidades amigos! I’m sitting here at my computer hoping your Christmas and New Year’s were every bit as spectacular as you are and that the coming year brings nothing less than extraordinary! It’s funny but I’ve wanted to write something “brilliant” to honour this new year and nothing came to mind. Between work, life and the butterflies in my stomach anticipating what’s headed my way, my mind simply shut down for the holidays and took a trip elsewhere. Maybe that’s my message and or revelation. Regardless of all the commotion and cacophony in our lives, we need to listen to our inner voice when it starts requesting quiet and solitude. And from this contemplation we seque…my dear friend, Paul Parker in the UK, who by the way was the very first person to support my album, had a wonderful baby boy to ring in the new year with! CONGRATULATIONS to Paul and his lovely wife! Wishing we were closer so I could hold that tiny bundle and plant a kiss on that sweet little face. What an honour to bring a new being onto this realm we call Earth! No babies on my end but I did get a new kitten I named Lilly. On a musical note, it’s my third year back at River Rock Casino on January 20, and 21. It’s going to be quite exciting for the guys and I to perform upon Lulu’s stage again as we enjoy our fans and friends there very much. On February 21st, I represent Canada at the 2010 Cultural Olympiad. It’s already a busy time and I haven’t even had my breakfast yet! Have a happy and healthy 2010 start and I will connect with news soon. xoxo | |
| 2009-12-09 | Website Facelift! |
| Bienvenidos! Welcome to my new improved site. It’s cleaner, more streamlined and, I feel, an accurate representation of where I am in my life, musical and otherwise. I hope you like it. Make note that previous blog entries were in accordance to the old site and some things no longer apply. The “Images” page is now gone as is most of the “Multimedia”. Less is more and you can imagine how much material I had to sift through and determine what to keep and what to post. What a job! My web guru, Chiko whose “double Fs” can be seen at the bottom of each page is wonderful if ever you are wanting to develop or update your own site. Stay tuned for exciting news… along with the new site there are a few projects coming up that you’ll want to know about. Until then, I bid you a fabulous day, worthy of YOU! | |
| 2009-10-25 | River Rock and the 2010 Cultural Olympiad! |
| All this rain got you down? Come out and join the guys and I at River Rock Casino on November 11th and 12th and we promise to shake the "blahs" away! We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, making new friends, and having some hilarious moments with you at Lulu’s Lounge. Make sure you get there early enough to get a seat though. I also have some juicy news to share with you... we found out we’re one of the musical acts representing Canada at the 2010 Cultural Olympiad ! Yes, your favourite Cuban dynamo and her fabuloso players have been chosen to perform at this incredible event so do click on the link to read more about it; I believe we’re on page 8 of the entertainment lineup. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have been asked to participate; I’m truly at a loss for words. From the bottom of my heart, I hope you come out to River Rock on November 11th and 12th to share the music and passion my heart holds so dear, and I’ll be able to share more news with you then. HUGE Abrazos y Mucho Blessings! xo | |
| 2009-10-12 | Photographers! |
| Well, my darling friends you’ve asked and so I shall give you the scoop on things. Although Ms. Mara did not actually take the black and white shot the 2010 Cultural Olympiad is using of me, I give credit to Eclipse Photography for this picture. It was her partner who managed, despite the heated domestic spat they were having that day, to capture me looking so relaxed. An interesting experience indeed. On a brighter note, you must go to “images” to see the shots taken from recent Harmony Arts and the International Jazz Festival performances by my wonderful photographer Vince Wong Not only is Vince a dream to work with but he’s invisible! I’ve never actually seen him taking photos of my players or myself and yet he manages to “wow” me every time with the detail and style of his shots. Do check out his website to see how talented this man is. As well, I’ve recently met yet another lovely photographer who shall soon be gracing our fair city with her magical work. I shall keep you in suspense and tell you about Katya soon as we will be doing a shoot when she arrives to town! So that is all. Take good care, follow your heart and know that it will never lead you astray. Hugs and blessings! XO | |
| 2009-08-18 | Harmony Arts Festival pics are posted! |
| August marked my 4th consecutive year performing at the Harmony Arts Festival and it was still as exciting and satisfying as the first time I stepped on that stage. Jodi Smith and her very considerate and capable crew of stagehands, along with their fun-loving audience made it a pleasure, yet again to share my heart’s passion. You must go to “Images” to see the pictures…they’re “FABULOSO”! Also a big “THANK YOU” to my wonderful photographer Vince Wong who captured every moment so brilliantly. And by the way, ladies, yes, the dress was beautiful but hot; the silk kept sticking and rolling itself into bunches beneath the sequins making me look like the Pillsbury Dough Girl! Ha! Oh the things we do for glamour! I also want to send out a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to my dearest and longest friend, fan and supporter, Mark Foreman. From the moment we first met, you've always been there for me no matter what, and the website is what it is because of your long hours, incredible patience and steadfast belief in me. I cherish you, Squirrel and look forward to sharing many more adventures! Chipmunks...phooey! To the rest of you, I hope you enjoy the pictures and get a sense not only of the magic of the day, but the connection between my most amazing group of musicians whom I like to refer to as my “friends”. They’re truly such spectacular men not only because of their talents but because they warm my heart, make me laugh hysterically and keep me determined. Inspiration like this assures we never lose sight of our dreams and continue to keep in perspective what is truly important in our lives. I am such a lucky girl. May you have someone that inspires you equally as much. Have a spectacular day! | |
| 2009-07-23 | Spicy September at River Rock! |
| Hooray! It’s back to River Rock Casino in Richmond on September 6th, 9th and 10th along with my fabulous guys. We shall be at Lulu’s Lounge yet again and boy, oh boy are we looking forward to this; familiar faces, fabulous sound, and that sweet cordless mic! What more could a Cuban diva ask for? Aside from a tour, a new album, an honest manager, and agent with integrity and an endless wardrobe complete with comfortable footwear, I can’t think of a single thing! xo | |
| 2009-07-11 | August 3rd at Harmony Arts Festival! |
| Before I tell you about the Harmony Arts Festival, I want to say how incredible our moment at CBC for Jazz Fest was. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart to those of you who came out, applauded, laughed, danced and made my heart sing. I shall never forget that moment. When one's passion is supported by another...well, I cannot think of a more meaningful connection. And so I segue onto my next show and how fabulous it feels to be asked back to perform at this wonderful festival! Yes, my darling amigos, I shall be at the 2009 Harmony Arts Festival tearing it up with my wonderful band of Latin lovin’ guys. Come join us on Monday, August 3rd at 4pm as we celebrate the arts along West Vancouver’s beautiful waterfront. And for those who are wondering, this festival is free so you have no excuse not to come out and support artists, both musically and otherwise. Click on the link and scroll down for more info. Hope to see you there. Hasta luego, baby! | |
| 2009-06-29 | July 8th and 9th at the River Rock! |
| Let’s “swish” again, like we did the last time! I’ll be playing River Rock Casino in Richmond on July 8th and 9th along with my fabulous guys. If you haven’t already been, the venue is wonderful complete with a fabulous stage, sound and personable bar staff who ensure you are comfy and cozy. Our last show at the River Rock was nothing short of spectacular. It had us sharing the stage with the likes of Paul Anka and Mike Reno for a private affair. This time we’re out of the theatre and into Lulu’s Lounge so do come down and join us. Show time is about 8:30pm so wear your best “swish” outfit and get ready to dance, laugh and even share a hug or two. I look forward to seeing you! Hugs! | |
| 2009-06-26 | Michael, may you rest in peace. |
| Yesterday I was sitting at Poppy here on West 4th, getting my usual cut with Sarah when all of a sudden the receptionist blurted out, “Oh my God, Michael Jackson just died”. It was almost surreal. How could it be? Was this a bad Internet joke? I never thought the day would come when the “King of Pop” would be gone. It was his impact on my own life that has me now sharing with you. My childhood was extremely challenging and definitely not for the weak. I was always trying to find where I fit in and how I could change my circumstances. I was an extremely frustrated Cuban girl living in a very broken Latin family, while having to “breathe” in a Canadian life. Many tough years followed. Later in my teens, I was introduced to Michael Jackson and that was the beginning of a magically musical relationship. He was such an inspiration despite his difficult and non-existent childhood, and someone who found solace in what he loved…music. Michael did “music” like no one else. He owned that stage and wrote songs that still rule the airways even today. What an amazing album “Thriller” was! Nothing around at that time, and still to this day comes close in record sales. Sadly, the higher one rises, the lower people want them to sink and so Michael’s years post were nothing short of frustrating and full of ugly rumors. I cannot imagine how horrible those years must have been for the poor man. I prefer to ignore the negative and remember him for all the bright and beautiful he brought to our dreary, problem-laden lives. And just as music did him, it also saved and served, and moved me from a time where, as I wrote in one of my originals, “all my ladders had no rungs”. Thank you, Michael Jackson for everything you meant to, and inspired in me. Thank you for showing me that we are never what others do to us but what we make of ourselves. May God and his angels keep watch over you and may you find the peace you never quite reached while on this earth. Que Dios te bendiga. | |
| 2009-06-25 | Enigma gets Latin! |
| They’ve been cool and smooth long enough! It’s time to Latin-ify this sweet neighborhood restaurant and get things hopping. On Saturday, July 4th, come on down for 7pm to Enigma located at 4397- 10th Avenue West here in Vancouver. Come meet Lynette and Ivan and be sure to try Lynette’s “sticky pudding”. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to come up and share a hug with me. A ridiculously good time! Call 604-222-6881 to make reservations. | |
| 2009-06-19 | Hey cool cats...it's Jazz Fest time! |
| It’s so exciting! . The TD Canada Trust Vancouver International Jazz Festival is fast approaching so get ready to “swish” with the guys and I on July 1st at the CBC studios on Cambie Street here in Vancouver. We’ve got two shows, yes 2 shows lined up for that day (one at 5pm and then 6pm) but you’ll have to make sure you get there early enough to get a seat. It’s going to be loco! I look forward to sharing this moment with you. Besos! | |
| 2009-05-13 | Show time with Paul Anka! |
| Bueno mis amigos, it seems I’ve left you hanging long enough. Time to share about that “big bash boom” mentioned earlier. To say we had fun is a huge understatement. The guys and I had a blast! It was a real honor to have been asked to perform at this very high profile event being held at the River Rock Theatre along with Mr. Mike Reno of Canada’s Loverboy and the incredible Mr. Paul Anka . Not sure if any of you have met him but Mike Reno, with all his successes has to be the nicest man I’ve met in the industry, in a long time. No arrogance or pretentiousness; a wonderful man with a big heart. He posed with us for pics and had such an easy way about him. I also got to meet our very own Squire Barnes from Global TV who, along with being a prince of a man, is much better looking than on television. What a lovely soul he was! Overall the event was a bit stressful with stagehands running around in preparation for Mr. Anka’s arrival but as usually happens in show business, things always fall into place. I was about to get on stage in my sequined black and white polka-dotted number (Ladies, you would love this dress!) when we were informed Mr. Anka was arriving and would be singing his song first. Now we’re onto the part of this story that really makes me smile…not really BUT technically, my opening act was Paul Anka! Ha! Yes, I know it’s a “perspective” thing but hey, it makes me smile! As soon as Mr. Anka finished his song, which by the way was his own masterpiece, “My Way”, the techs prepared the stage and on we went to do what we do best…have fun. Surely the guys have other tunes selected but I thought “Besame Mucho” was absolutely stunning partly due to the talents of Tony, the soundman for River Rock Casino. It was so amazing to hear myself through such an incredible P.A. system and to be standing on that glorious stage flooded with blue lights. At that moment, this girl felt completely spoiled and blessed. And so I want to send out a huge “Gracias” and besos to both Ms. Catherine St. Germain for her elegance, professionalism and talent at putting this entire event together and to Tony for once again making me feel like a “rock star”. Not only can Catherine sing like a bird, she’s an amazing organizer and a lovely woman. Thank you, dear heart for giving the guys and I such an amazing experience to one day, reminisce upon. . The Vancouver International Jazz Festival is fast approaching so stay tuned for details of our upcoming shows on July 1st at the CBC studios. Until then, be good to yourself and practice random acts of kindness. Life is truly a sacred experience worthy of the very best within us. Besos! | |
| 2009-04-29 | Pssst! Big Bash Boom! |
| Can't say alot right now but the guys and I are going to be performing at a very high profile party this Friday, May 1st. Lots of amazing people will be attending and the musicians we shall be sharing the stage with are pretty incredible. Will tell you more later. Sorry I'm whispering. xo | |
| 2009-04-07 | "Cinco de Mayo" at Enigma! |
| Hey baby, it’s time to “party” and I have just the place. On Saturday, May 2nd, come on down to Enigma located at 4397- 10th Avenue West. Not only will you be able to enjoy Lynette’s amazing sticky pudding but you also get to shake your "rump thang" and celebrate “Cinco de Mayo” with the guys and I. Don’t forget to wear something “swishy” and a crazy hat. Why, you ask? I say why not! We owe it to ourselves after this very long and dreary winter. Call 604-222-6881 to make reservations as this is going to be una noche loca! | |
| 2009-03-14 | 2009 Vancouver International Jazz Festival! |
| Just in....I shall be performing at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival along with my wonderful guys this year! I am so excited to have been chosen there are no words to describe the song my heart has been singing. Chris sent a very joy-filled email from Japan, Brent has been furiously brushing up on his Spanish, Boris has been playing his bagpipes with a salsa feel, Nick has been shopping trying to find the right "Guadalajara' shirt and Graig is working on some sexy dance moves! Ha! What a crew we are! Do check back for details regarding Jazz Fest. Until then, practice random acts of kindness....I promise you will feel great as a result! Muu-aaahhhhh! | |
| 2009-02-09 | Swishin’ at the Rock! |
| Hot, hot hot! I’ll be playing River Rock Casino in Richmond on March 15th and 19th along with my fabulous guys. Come on out and “swish” with us. I always look forward to playing that amazing stage; it truly is a musician’s dream with all the space for my guys and I to move around in, the great equipment and wonderful soundmen, the lovely bar staff and of course the amazing audience…what more could a girl ask for? Our wonderful drummer, Chris Haas will be playing music in Japan during this time but I’ve got the good fortune of having Mr. Phil Belanger joining us. Should I tell him how crazy we get? Nah! He’ll find out soon enough! Looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces….don’t forget to come up and say “hola”! And by the way, feliz Dia De San Valentin...Happy Valentine's Day to all! xo | |
| 2009-01-30 | CBC Recording of Perfidia is a Hit! |
| Hola querido amigos! It’s been a while and things have been beyond comprehension at my end. Has your 2009 been quite as ridiculous so far? I did, however receive the nicest email from Claudia who loved the recording of “Perfidia” on the CBC recordings. She was very sweet and mentioned how she and her husband used to dance to this tune way back when love was pure and life was much simpler. I am so very glad you enjoyed my version of this beautiful tune, Claudia; in truth, it’s one of my faves. The melody is so sweet and seems to carry you away. To those of you who haven’t heard “Perfidia” as yet, feel free to visit my “Multimedia” page and have a listen. On the same page. there’s also a house mix I had the opportunity to do with Graig, my band guru for his work. This is a great track if you’ve got the time to have a listen. Well, my friends, I’ll keep you posted on things in this girl’s life. Before the day is through, make sure you do something wonderful for yourself; something that makes your heart sing and puts a silly grin on your face. Life is much too short not to take care of your “self”. Until next time…xoxoxoxo. | |
| 2009-01-08 | Music at Moe's! |
| It's 2009 and time to get busy with life once again. By the way, did you pick a word to encapsulate your new year? Last year, my word was “prosperity’ and for 2009 I’ve chosen, are you ready for this one? Fearlessness! Sometimes dear reader you just have to take yourself to the “edge” and have faith you can handle it. Dreams are so important and truly what defines our lives. Don’t let yours slip by. When I was nursing, sadly I witnessed many a tortured soul with many regrets upon their deathbed. I promised myself never to be like that. And, just so you know there’s no moss growing, your favourite Cuban gal is planning music and merriment for this month at Moe's Home Collection , located on Terminal here in Vancouver. On Tuesday, January 13th come out and celebrate "customer appreciation" with the friendly staff at Moe’s and yours truly! We’re also planning a video shoot of the band so do try to come out and share your wonderful “vibes” with us. Music is always best when shared and it always warms my heart to see familiar faces in the audience dancing and supporting our hearts’ passion. Have a wonderful and magical day! Besos. | |
| 2009-01-07 | Happy New Year my darling friends! |
| Hola Amigos! Feliz Año Nuevo! Happy New Year! Here’s wishing you the very best for 2009. This is the year to make things happen so don’t hesitate any longer and just get a move on those dreams. Life is meant to be lived in a HUGE way! Make sure you come back to read this page for news about our upcoming video shoot. The guys and I would love for you to come out and cheer us on. In the meantime, practice random acts of kindness and do something wonderful for yourself. Sending hugs and blessings your way. | |
| 2008-10-10 | LuLu’s Lounge in November! |
| Hola amigos! A short "nota" to let you know I’ll be playing River Rock Casino in November. Circle the 16th, 19th and 20th on your calendars and make it a point to come out and join me for three days of fun and “swish”! I’m very excited to hit the stage with my new project and share hugs with old and new friends. Can you say “Hot, hot, hot”! Ay, carumba! | |
| 2008-09-26 | Great interview with CBC's Paul Grant! |
| Ay, ay, ay! Amigos, I hope you've had as good a week as I've had thus far. There's so much going on at this time between energies and planets at play, it's amazing we're not all spinning off the earth's surface! CBCs Paul Grant and producer Phillip Ditchburn were an absolute dream to work with. Despite my jittery nerves they both made me feel extremely comfortable and calm. Paul's zest for life and music, along with his pronunciation of band members names and song titles was admirable. There's a hot Latino just waiting to burst out of this lovely man at any second! You owe me a salsa dance, Paul! Listen for the interview this Saturday at 5pm on CBC Hot Air . Thank you, gracias for every smile and kind word of support bestowed. You make my heart, mi corazon, sing with joy! Besos. | |
| 2008-09-22 | It's CBC Time! |
| My upcoming interview with CBC Hot Air is posted. Follow the link for more details. Excited Cuban girl smiling ear to ear! | |
